LisanaPhone ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application LisanaPhone (the "App").
Key Point: We Don't Collect Your Data
LisanaPhone processes all voice, text, and image data entirely on your device. No personal data is transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers.
Information We Do NOT Collect
LisanaPhone does not collect, store, or transmit:
- Voice recordings or speech data
- Text inputs or synthesized speech
- Images or photos used for OCR
- Translation data
- Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number)
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Location data
- Usage analytics or telemetry
On-Device Processing
All core features of LisanaPhone operate entirely on your device:
- Text-to-Speech: AI voice synthesis runs locally using ONNX Runtime
- Speech-to-Text: Uses your device's native speech recognition (Apple Speech on iOS, Android SpeechRecognizer)
- OCR: Text extraction from images uses Google ML Kit or Huawei ML Kit, processed on-device
- Translation: Language translation uses on-device ML Kit Translation models
Model Downloads
When you first use LisanaPhone, it downloads AI voice models from HuggingFace. These downloads:
- Are stored locally on your device
- Do not require account creation
- Do not transmit any personal data
- Can be deleted at any time through the app settings
Permissions
LisanaPhone requests the following device permissions:
- Microphone: Required for speech-to-text input
- Camera: Required for scanning text from images
- Photo Library: Required for selecting images for OCR
- Storage: Required for saving audio files and downloading models
These permissions are used solely for the app's core functionality and no data is collected through them.
Children's Privacy
LisanaPhone does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation and processes all data on-device.
Third-Party Services
LisanaPhone uses the following third-party services, all of which process data on-device:
- Google ML Kit: On-device text recognition and translation
- Huawei ML Kit: On-device text recognition and translation (Huawei devices)
- ONNX Runtime: On-device AI model inference
